Plot Summary

“Sometimes It Snows In April” (Come on it’s a Prince reference from 20 years ago! The day of the massively unhip editor is upon us) continues with Spidey caught in the middle of two ancient threats that are conspiring to take him and the city itself down.

Plus, Carlie trapped at the Police Station with someone after her blood!

Jameson lies in his hospital bed. His nurse makes him repeat a montra about letting go of the things he can't control. He agrees with it all, saying it's not his wife's fault and that he won't strangle Bennett. As soon as the nurse leaves, Jonah gets up out of bed. Taking his I.V. drip, he makes an effort to escape, in his hospital gown, out into the snowstorm. It takes two orderlies and the nurse to prevent him from leaving.

Out in the snow, Spider-Man is freezing his web-shooters off. He's questioning his decision to help search for the others (even though he knows it's the right thing).

At the police precinct, Officer Gonzalez is determined to hold the scientist as an accomplice of Spider-Man's. Carlie Cooper comes in and the man pleads for her to help. He tries telling her he's a victim since he was attacked by the Mayan extremists. He tells her about the algorithms he was working on. He says that reality is made up of more than the four dimensions. The problem he was facing is the code used symbols, the same symbols tattooed on the extremists sitting in the holding cell. This day is the end of a five day cycle where the wall between dimensions is at its weakest and a Mayan Deity will cross over. This deity, Kuhul Ajaw will demand a blood sacrifice and the extremists feel it should be his. A little later, Vin tries talking to Carlie about his needing a new roommate. Before he can ask her, she says that Peter is a great guy and needs a place.

Spider-Man runs into a homeless man (who thinks S.H.I.E.L.D. is after him. Soon Kuhul Ajaw arrives demanding his blood sacrifice. He asks Spider-Man if he is the sacrifice. When he says no, Kuhul Ajaw slams him aside.

The fight goes on until Kuhul Ajaw tells Spider-Man that he carries the "sun-blood" and is not the sacrifice. He asks Spidey if he's a priest. Hesitating, Spidey replies yes. Kuhul Ajaw says "good" and leaves. Spidey is back on his search.

Spider-Man finally finds the van. He tells them that Rabin (the scientist) sent them. Spider-Man is told that Rabin killed one of the others. He has to be stopped.

Back at the station, Rabin starts talking to the locked up extremists. When Carlie walks in, she finds him standing before the dead extremist with a crazed look in his eyes.
