Throughout the years, there’s always been one place that Peter Parker could turn to seek refuge from the storm — no matter how vicious life became, he’s always had Aunt May’s home in Queens. Until now, that is. In this remarkable issue, Peter’s life is changed forever.
Spider-Man arrives at his apartment to find it on fire. Charlie is inside lookinf for Peter. He and Spidey fight. Charlie is fire-resistant but Spidey is forced to escape before passing out, apparently from smoke inhalation. After a hallucination in which his unconscious mind deduces how to stop Charlie, Spidey visits Tony Stark for permission to use some equipment. Finding Charlie again, Spidey captures him and takes him to a machine in Stark's labs that exposes Charlie to 15 atmospheres of pressure, solidifying the Vibranium in his skinsuit, trapping Charlie within. Mary Jane calls Peter to tell him that Charlie not only destroyed their apartment but burned May's house to the ground.
