SPOILER FREEThis issue is great. That's all there is to say about it. It answers big questions from previous issues, and it sets the stage for issue 700. Although some might consider it a filler issue, it doesn't feel like it.The GoodThe focus of this issue is the big explanation. Lots of people have come close to predicting how the reveal in issue 698 happened, but I don't think anyone figured it out exactly. And even though I somewhat saw it coming, the Dan Slott's explanation is satisfying. I...

Must. Get. 0

Lot's of people dropped this book and called 698 lame when it first came out--I'll admit, I was skeptical at first, too, but this issue has erased any doubt in my mind that Slott's not going to deliver. I'm not going to say anything about the story other than it is Slott at his best. So excited for the day after Christmas. You have to get this issue, and if you have issue 600, read that before reading this Big things are coming--have actually been coming for a hundred issues....

Not Getting Out of This One 0

I have to admit that after the last issue I fell in with a lot of other people, and was extremely excited to see the next issue. If you're reading this review you know that Doc Ock now has control over Peter Parker's body, and has all of his memories while Peter has been left in the dying body of Otto Octavius, and only has a few hours left to live. This issue is Dan Slott's attempt at explaining just how that happened. It's a pretty solid issue that goes back all the way to Spider-man #600 in ex...

2099 is not that far away 0

So wait, Miguel O'Hara is not Spider-Man? Whatever....This comic was incredible anyway. Great art, off panel sex with Aunt May, and the revelation that Spidey helped Doc Ock achieve his master plan! Key issues: ASM 600 ( 2nd Print and Blue DF Ross Cover Exclusive are the hardest to find ), ASM 594 ( first octobots ), and Avenging Spider-Man 8 ( first golden octobot )....

And you need to get this book.Like the title said this is INTENSITY AT IT'S BEST, Doc Ock Is in his last few moments of death being he is in this mental and physical state by now. Revelations after Revelations throughout this book (and the last one don't get me wrong). Everything ...

Posted not too long ago in Comics Frontline...Reviewer's note: This review does contain some plot spoilers, which is partially why I waited a few days to write it. Please do not read it if you haven't read ASM 699 and don't want to be spoiled for the details. Thank you for taking heed.My birthday was last Wednesday, so it was a fitting gift to get the next part of the Dying Wish story arc that will be the final story in Amazing Spider-Man before the title ceases publication. ASM 698 ended on a d...

I have been a Spider-Man fan for a number of years now, and Dan Slott's run has been amazing. Although not all the issues he's written lately have been perfect he has made me very excited to see what will happen when issue 700 arrives, and I've not been as excited about a Spider-Man story in years.PlotWARNING: THIS WILL SPOIL THE END OF ISSUE 698This issue continues from were the last issue left off, Doctor Octopus has managed to switch bodies with Spider-Man and is now living his life with all ...
