    Synopsis: Down, but not out, Spider-Man and Black Widow team up with Silver Sable and rebound to confront Sandman.Well. The Avengers are down, and all they manage to do was take down (or up) one member of the Sinister Six. In a way, I like that most of the Avengers are taken out of the game leaving Spidey with a few allies. It gives him more room, especially when it comes to his new suit.     I've never been the biggest Sinister Six fan, and that is mostly because of it's roster. This story line though has given me a new appreciation for the group though. This issue follows up after the massive defeat Spider-man and the Avengers suffered the last issue. Spider-man manages to escape the clutches of Doc Ock with the help of Silver Sable, and the team decides to opt for a "taking peices off the board" approach, and the target of this issue is Sandman.     Originally posted on my blog, The Comics Cove, not too long ago...Spidey's trials and tribulations just never seem to end, for him and his allies in this case. This cover shot of him, Black Widow and Silver Sable all caught up in a titanic fight with a desert-powered Sandman really drives that point home and pulls readers in for this issue's story.
