Here Comes Another New Costume 0

Continuing from recent events, Spider-Man is on a new mission but needs a tiny bit of help in order to make it happen.  The Good Dan Slott continues writing stories that acknowledge what has gone on before. Often when a new story arc begins, the little details are forgotten or ignored. Things that have occurred since BIG TIME began are important as each issue rolls out. We've seen that Spider-Man lost his spider-senses and you might not think it's a big deal. We clearly see how much Spider-Man d...

New Suit for a New Problem 0

After the death of Marla Jameson, Spider-Man vows that no one dies while he's protecting New York. But how hard will it be to keep this promise when a new villain, Massacre, is bent on killing the very people Spider-Man promised to protect? The Good Spidey's lost his spider-sense, and he's struggling with problems that never used to come up. We see Spider-Man lost and confused without his spider-sense having to think for him first, and Slott does a great job incorporating problems from past stor...

Best story since 'American Son' 0

Wow. Let me just say I haven't read a Spidey comic in a while (almost two years) but I'm glad I picked this one up! I was going solely based on the cover art and new costume as a purchasing factor, but I was richly rewarded with an AWESOME story. I almost cried... it was that good. Had me all choked up at the end. Spider-man faces real-life problems/villains in this issue. Things that could happen in today's society. The writing was fresh, phenomenal and bold. I am highly impressed by Mr. Slott....

A Massacre 0

Cover:    I'm not a big fan of this cover.  I like that it's a new suit, but looking at future issues and their previewed covers (especially the FF crossover stuff that will, I believe, come in at AMS #658-659 with Caselli), this leaves much to be desired.  The Good:    Even though Peter Parker has a great job, it's still very touching to see how vulnerable Spider-Man is after the repercussions of his combat with Smythe.  We see this early on in the issue, and it leads much later as the reasoni...

Another costume, another game changer 0

Synopsis:   In order for Peter to begin his new policy to combat the Walking Massacre, Peter creates a new suit. What's Good? This is not the Spider-man I'm used to seeing. As I mentioned in the previous issue, I was wondering how Peter was going back up his words without the use of his Spider-sense. It really does make you think how much Peter relied on his spider-sense till now. On top of that, Peter is dealing with a emotionless bomber. After the first attempt, I like that Peter makes anothe...

Another suit rises, Amazing Spider-Man #656 0

Spider-Man gains, yet again, another suit! With the death of Marla Jameson in Amazing Spider-Man #654, Spider-Man isn't feeling all to heroic. While he has failed to save family and has also lost one of the greatest Spider-Powers, Spidey's head isn't in the game. Spider-Man is trying to deal with the fact that he has no spider-sense and that people are being killed by a new villain. However, from the challenge that has arose to Peter, another Spider-Suit gets created!   The Good  Spider-Man Ar...

Spidey's Gonna Need A Bigger Closet 0

THE BASICSWith his newly adopted rule "no one dies", Spider-Man sets out to take down new villain Massacre. That may be tough, though, without his trusty Spider Sense.  MY COMPLIMENTS TO THE CHEFI like the contrast in motivations being played with in this comic. Marla's death has affected JJJ and Spidey in the same and yet completely different ways. They're both determined to help preserve life, and while that means that Spidey is determined to keep anyone and everyone from passing, Jameson is t...
