    AMAZING SPIDERMAN #635(SPOILERS!!) 0

"Grim Hunt" part 2. This is written by the great Joe Kelly and drawn by Michael Lark. This issue is by far, better then the previous issue! Alot happens in this comic, and i have to say i was very, very satisfied with this. In this issue we get another spider character mixed up in the Grim Hunt mess. Arana! The Kravinovs go after the young spider girl, but Spider-Man and  Julia Carpenter come to her aid. But after the battle is over the Kravinovs manage to capture Julia and Arana and escape! Kai...

    "Trust me, I didn't volunteer." 0

The Grim Hunt Part 2 finds Spider-Man looking for and trying to protect some other Spider-related characters.   Some aspects of the hunt are not as they seem, leading Spider-Man down a path that will leave grave consequences.  Spider-Man, tired, sick, continues to fight on, regardless of whether this Hunt kills him, at least he knows he will give it his all. What You Need To Know. The Kravinoffs are off their rocker, trying to resurrect the original Hunter.  Spider-Man in the past couple months ...

He's back, but at what cost? 5

That's right. SPOILER WARNING: Click here to reveal hidden content. Kraven the Hunter  is back! But I'm getting ahead of myself. Let's take it from the top.  The writing and art by Kelly and Lark continue to amaze, as per usual. We see Madame Web continuing to narrate, and it really is approprate, considering her power to see the future and other extensive knowledge of the "Spider" characters. Kaine shaves and looks like a scarred Peter Parker when he comes to rescure Spider-Man and Arana. He ...

    Grim Hunt grows darker 0

The Kraven family is on the move for Spider blood, as Grim Hunt leads Spider man protecting his "Spider" friends. Pros:  I must say that Grim Hunt has taken an even darker tone than the last issue. I said that "Shed" arc was dark, but with Grim Hunt, it feels dark all around. Joe Kelly is not messing around when it comes to the Kraven family. Each page just left me wanting more especially the end There are A LOT of surprises in this issue including the ending that I will not spoil. I do like the...

    Simply Awesome 0

There are times where a book just kind of knocks a reader on their rear. "The Amazing Spider-Man" #635 is one of those issues for me.      First off, props to Joe Kelly, Michael Lark, Stefano Gaudiano, Matt Southworth, and Matt Hollingsworth for crafting a dark, grim tale that was a fantastic read. I won't belabor the facts that other reviews hit, but there's a strong level of cohesion as both story and art combine for a great storytelling experience that has the potential to go down as a c...

    Kraven has finally returned 0

The Story: Spiderman finds himself involved in something much deeper and more serious when Ezekiels suprise visit from the grave, explains why all Spiderman themed characters are indangered, mostly Spiderman. Trying to find a way to defeat the Kraven family by staying a step ahead of them and their hunt for Spiders, Spiderman finds himself in a much more serious threat than what he thought.  The Good: - For a Spiderman story, this really gained my attention and still had me on the edge of my sea...

    Dead Man (Now) Walking 0

SynopsisWhoa! I didn't see that coming! Great plot twist at the end. This issue made up for most of the shortcomings of the last issue (however minor they were). This is the issue you've been waiting for in this arc. I am most definitely anticipating the next issue to be a classic. Bring it on!   The GoodHands down is the plot. Great means of building it up and then smacking you in the face with the unexpected. Is this going to be a start of the re-return of the Sinister Six? I'm drooling alread...

Before the Devil Knows you're Dead 2

First of all.I haven't been reading THAT much Amazing Spider-Man since Brand New Day(of course with a few exceptions like the Menace saga, New Ways to Die,Mind of Fire, Character Assassination, American Son, The Red-Headed Stranger and now the Grim Hunt.) As much as I hate to say that they've ruined all with erasing Peter and Mary Jane's marriage from the timeline, Quesada was right in one thing, the stories after that really did gave the book a push in sales as I think everybody was expecting to...

Grim Hunt builds at full steam 0

The second part of a multi-part story is almost always the most important. It's easy to start off with a bang, but it's in the second, building chapter that you see the story telling skill of the author. With that said, if this book is any indication this series is going to be one hell of a good ride.  Kelly manages to bring the book to a frantic pace, while moving all of the pieces of the story exactly where they need to go. The art continues to impress me as Lark and Gaudiano perfectly match t...
