Did Spidey's wise cracks pay off in this review?!
I was pretty impressed with this issue. In this issue of The Amazing Spider-Man, we reach the conclusion of the epic battle between Captain Universe and Juggernaut. There have been a number of earth quakes reported in New York, which are being caused by all the madness between Juggernaut and Cp. Universe. We finally see why Cp. Universe has such a vendetta against Juggernaut. Cp. Universe's name was William Nguyen. He was working on a major financial firm at the same exact moment when Juggernaut and Spidey were having a fight. Juggernaut escaped the building by busting a whole through the wall. Spider-Man followed and William was fired. William became desperate after not finding a job for a long time and tried to kill himself. At that point the Enigma Force called on him to become Captain Universe. We get a glimpse of Juggernaut's origin and we see what he's been through. We find out that Cp. Universe through Juggernaut from outer-space to earth. When Cp. was just about to kill Juggernaut, he was stripped of his power. Juggernaut then became the new Captain Universe to save the day. Juggernaut succeeds and then it ends. The story I thought was very good. I did have a problem with the fact that William Nguyen held such a grudge over losing a job. I thought that was a little exagerated. Will should've wanted revenge for something more serious. Not over losing a job. Seeing Juggernaut as Captain Universe was awesome. He turned out so good in the end of this issue. Now on to the details. The cover was really nice. The only problem I had with the cover was the coloring on it. It was too dark. I loved the Juggernaut with the rocks rising around him. It just had a really cool look. The writing in this issue was great. I loved seeing the story and seeing how Juggernaut got tossed from space to earth. I also loved seeing his character change in this issue. Another good character change was Will's because at the end he started doing all this charity kind of work and he wrote a book about his experience with the Juggernaut. I always love the lettering in The Amazing Spider-Man. I love how they do it when Spider-Man's thinking. What I don't like about the continuity of The Amazing Spider-Man is the coloring. I really wish they improve on that because sometimes it is hard to make out the page. The penciling was good as always. I love Lee Weeks work with penciling. The dialogue with Spidey is always amazing. He always cracks me up. The character interaction was good. I like seeing how Peter is around Carlie because I like to compare it to how Peter used to interact with MaryJane. My favorite pages are 7,8,9,10,11,12,and18. This was a fantastic issue. It should definitely not be missed. I am giving this issue a 4 out of 5.
