CIVIL WAR TIE-IN! “THE WAR AT HOME” With Civil War in full-throttle mode, Spider-Man follows his conscience... and fast becomes a lightning rod for controversy. Unmasked and vunerable, this is Spider-Man as you've NEVER seen him! As soon as Iron Man overhears that Peter will no longer support the Registration Act, he attacks him and a battle ensues. Now on the run, Peter, Mary Jane, and Aunt May must find a new place to live. Spider-Man decides to publicly announce his opposition to the Act and goes on live television. Iron Man decides that Spider-Man needs to be brought down.

Iron Man tries to shut down Spidey's armores costume with a voice command but the web-slinger, prepared for this, overrides the system. Escaping into the sewers, Spidey reunites with MJ and May, who are hiding out in Midtown High. Later, the three take a room in the sleazy Motel 40. Spidey, back in his original costume, visits the Channel 9 television studio, where he interrupts the weather broadcast to announce to the world that he was wrong to support the Superhuman Registration Act. Watching Spidey's TV announcement, Iron Man orders a "Cape Killer" unit to bring the wall-crawler in.
