Using trace DNA from the letter's stamp, Peter runs a comparison between Gwen and his attackers. Sarah confronts him, offering to kill him so her brother won't have to kill Peter's family. Spidey attacks and unmasks her. She looks astonishingly like Gwen Stacy. Peter gets the DNA results and heads home, his suspicions confirmed. Sarah reconvenes with Gabe but begins to have doubts. Mary Jane greets Peter, having read the reconstructed letter. Peter swears the children aren't his since he and Gwen never once made love. MJ already knows he's telling the truth because she knows who the twins' real father is.
