This has a chance to blow up in his face when Spiderman shows up and tells him to get his check book ready. In the life of Peter Parker, He meets Liz Allen on the way to see Betty Brant, she has joined the work force. Flash Thompson sees the two of them talking and attacks Parker, who taps him and knocks him out. When he finally catches up to Betty Brant, she tells him that she met with Ned Leeds and he has asked her to marry him. Before she could tell Peter she really wants him he storms off in anger. Spiderman finally catches up to the cat burgalar but he manages to escape Spiderman and falls in to the hands of the police. J. Jonah Jameson was very happy.
