    Is Flash Thompson the Hobgoblin? Peter Parker investigates. But while visiting Flash behind bars, Scourge makes his move against the NYPD! Spider-Man’s not just taking on Scourge- Wraith shows up to get his revenge too!

    Scourge disguises himself as a prison guard, planning to take out Hobgoblin who has just been arrested. Spider-Man intervenes, but, luckily for Scourge, another supervillain, the Wraith just so happens to arrive on the scene to pull off some sort of scheme, so Scourge kills him instead and makes sure the mission wasn't a total loss after all.

    The Amazing Spider-Man #278 - If This Be Justice by dmstarz on June 01, 2008

    I remember reading some issues of the British Spider-man comic back in the 80s and two things stand out. One, there was a lot of business with the Black Cat and, maybe I was a little young, but it didn't float my boat (fool that I was!). Two, Spidey's encounters with the Hobgoblin seemed to go on forEVER. Did anyone else feel that? The Hobgoblin storyline kicked off in issue 238 of ASM and, although he flitted in and out, just kept going and going. So the finale of the storyline deserved a ...
