    Electro + Sub-Plots = Great Issue!

    OVERVIEW

In this issue Dan Slott continues to work out the kinks on Peter Parker’s return while giving us a nice taste of great things to come! We see the people close to Peter finally realizing the truth about the events that took place throughout Superior Spider-Man and it’s nice to see how, aside from Electro and Black Cat, not everyone is going to have a hard time understanding and accepting what happened.

    GOOD THINGS

I am specifically quite happy with the writing for Anna. I really like her character and how she’s portrayed as a smart, independent and strong woman. Not that there aren’t characters like these around, it’s just rather nice to see more. I do believe she seems to have taken the news of Peter and Doc Ock’s mindswap a little too easily, but I feel like we’ll see more of why in issues to come.

Electro’s story is coming along rather nicely. I’m really enjoying where it’s going, along with his development. What happened with Francine was definitely sad, but I really like how it gave him the last push to just break and have it out with Spidey once more.

The sub-plots. That beginning with Silk was really interesting and I am really looking forward to learning more about her and her situation. Black Cat, as well. I liked how, although her involvement with Electro [and possibly Silk] is going to happen in upcoming issues, it’s still not something that sprung out of nowhere and she actually is being involved with Electro already from the beginning. Looking forward to that, as well!

The ending was really nice and I’m anxious to see where it’ll lead.

The art is still gorgeous. Keep up the good work, Humberto, Victor and Edgar!

    BAD THINGS

I wouldn’t really say there was anything bad with this issue, but there has been some debate on Peter Parker punching Steve. I do agree that it seemed out of character. Even if Peter has shown restraint before on attacking Steve, I myself feel it’s just odd for him altogether to respond that way. Maybe it’s me, I don’t know. It was odd. Outside of that small thing, however, the rest of the issue was great!

    OVERALL

This issue was definitely a nice follow up to #1 and I am hooked on the story. This arc seems quite promising and I do hope it doesn’t go downhill, I am liking everything so far!

    See you next issue!

Ock made choices as the Superior Spider-Man, now Peter has to make new ones as the Amazing Spider-Man! 0

If you need a reason to read, or avoid, this series; check out my review for the first issue! Peter Parker is officially back! However, Ock changed, and introduced, a lot of things in Peter Parker's life (i.e. a company). Now, Parker has to deal with the choices that Ock made and find a way to please everyone that is now in his life. Dan Slott (writer), Humberto Ramos (pencils), Victor Olazaba (inks), and Edgar Delgado (colors) join the Amazing Spider-Man in his second issue at another chance in...
