Ever since Thanos made a cameo in The Avengers, many of us have wondered when the cosmic powerhouse will show his purple face again. There's been a fair amount of talk about which actor will step into the Avatar of Death's giant boots, and, according to Variety and Latino Review, W. and Oldboy star Josh Brolin will be transformed into the evil character. Latino Review claims Brolin will serve as the voice of Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy.

I hope they do a cgi version of thanos based off of josh brolin like what they did with bill nighy for Davy Jones in pirates of the Caribbean. That would be awesome. For avengers 3, they r saying loki and ultron will reprise their roles as well. Perhaps hel the asgardian goddess of death and loki's daughter will be the one that thanos courts for the third film.

While Latino Review is very unreliable source, the idea of Josh Brolin as Thanos is ... interesting.

I'm okay with this, I didn't have anyone in mind for Thanos, but Brolin has the voice for it imo.

From Batman to Thanos. Quite the upgrade!

It's not Ron Perlaman but Josh Brolin is a fine actor who can do subtle and command the screen without going OVER THE TOP, while alos being able to go over the top.

On topic...if they're doing any type of Live Action...I sell this hard. I can't even imagine a live action Thanos...it would look retarded imo. And I haven't liked Josh Brolin since The Goonies so...

I watched Captain America the Winter Soldier with certain people who work at Marvel & they told me then that it was Josh Brolin. I can't say who told me cause it could cost them their job, but I can confirm this.

Are they going to waste or actually use him since Marvel made Sir Anthony Hopkins sleep through an entire movie.

Why Kevin Grevioux isn't voicing Thanos, I'll never know.

i've always thought Tony Todd from Candyman & Final Destination films would have been good voice for thanos. he has a deep scary voice.

But he means not live action actor like Hulk that certain characters literally can't be in live action they would have to be in CGI in a live action movie. You mean it like the way you feel about Shazam that he wouldn't work in live action. Opinions on a Shazam movie aside you could actually do live action with him in the sense of cast a kid and cast an adult for Shazam. He means Thanos need to be CGI because no practical effect would be able to make a comic book like Thanos.

No they actually confirmed he IS going to be. Just not as like the main bad guy that they fight. He'll make another cameo.
