At the end of the Avengers, millions of people around the world saw the purple-skinned madman known as Thanos. But who is Thanos? Jason Aaron and Simone Bianchi show us just that. There have been bits and pieces of Thanos origin here and there but this is one of the first times we've really gotten to see his life on Titan. Let's get down to the Good and the Bad of Thanos Rising #1.THE GOOD*It's weird to see Thanos as a child but at the same time it adds depth to the character. You really get to...

2ComicNerds "Thanos Rising" #1 Review 0

Check out our review of "Thanos Rising" #1. I'm AJ and I'm Lee, we are 2ComicNerds!We thought the comic was good. The art overshadowed the story. We loved the idea of an origin story of the evil and powerful Thanos.

My favourite villain gets a promising origin story 0

I say I couldn’t wait for something’s quite a lot but this when it was announced I put aside money to get it I was really excited for this as Thanos is my all-time favourite villain he just always has been one of my favourites and I’ve missed him so when this was announced and the Infinity series I knew this was going to be a good year.PlotThanos returns to his home on Titan to his mother’s grave.Years ago Thanos is born but is born wrong and when his mother sees him she tries to kill him but h...

The Birth of Thanos 7

Although not the biggest fan of Thanos I have been a fan of his for quite a while now, and have began to like him even more in recent years, but I still shamefully don't know as much about him as I should, and when I heard about this origin story I was happy as it'd be a good point to learn more about his background, something that I know hasn't been to far developed in the past.PlotThanos is born on Titan, and is the son of Mentor, and Sui-San. He grows up wanting to be a scientist like his fat...

Seems a Bit Off 0

Anyone who know me knows I am a big fan of Thanos, so naturally I was excited to hear about this series coming out.I understand this is really the only origin shown to date, but there have been many references and explanations in the past. Lots of things just don't seem to add up. Sui-San wants to murder her own child right after birth, which in the past it was always told that Thanos was never mistreated and his parents loved him. I did actually love the reaction of Mentor though, because that ...

"Show Them Who You Are, Thanos of Titan" 0

To start things off I feel the need to point out that I have literally no exposure to Thanos prior to reading this, aside from the cameo in the Avengers movie. I skimmed through his history on the articles here and on wikipedia, but I've never seen him in action.I know not everyone is a fan of Simone Bianchi's artwork, but pretty much everyone who IS a fan is a huge fan. You either don't like his work or you absolutely love it, and I absolutely love it.I found this to be an extremely fascinatin...

A Good Start 0

Awesome Cover! You know, I honestly don't know much about Thanos. From the little bit I've read he seems cool, but I just haven't read enough with him to truly judge the character. And with him being the main villain in Avengers 2, I felt I had to know about the character a bit more. So when I saw Thanos Rising #1 on the shelf at my comic store, I decided to get it. The cover looked awesome, and that alone made me want to buy it. I didn't know what the story involved, whether it was his ori...
