Formerly a juvenile delinquent, Terry McGinnis stole a prototype Batman suit to aid him in avenging his father's death. He quickly proved himself worthy of the mantle, and now works with Bruce Wayne.

A hero from the DC Animated Universe.

Rebirth

Terry was originally just another delinquent student until his father was killed by the radical Jokerz gang. Terry knew that something seemed wrong and unlikely that it was a random attack. He believed it had something to do with the company his dad worked for, Waynecorp. So to solve the problem to went to find Bruce Wayne, he was greeted with a cold welcome but eventually discovered Bruce was Batman. He even found the prototype suit Bruce had worn at the end of his career and when Bruce wouldn't help him he stole it in hopes of getting revenge. Bruce was angered until he realized how much Terry's story paralleled with his own. He accepted Terry and even offered him the Batman role as a job. Terry accepted and became the Batman of the future DC Animated Universe

Death of Terry?

Terry's death was only momentarily thanks to the JLU.

During the JLU episode "The Once and Future Thing", Terry was seemingly killed by the Dee-Dee's a pair of homicidal Jokerz. Fortunately the Justice League Unlimited defeated Chronos and this event never happened allowing Terry to continue a life as Batman.

Epilogue

The much older Terry questioning his destiny.

Later Terry found out that it was not just all random. He was actually the biological son of Bruce Wayne and he was always destined to become Batman. He originally thought Bruce was so thickheaded he felt every generation needed a Batman and this made him angery, he felt like he now had someone to blame for all the pain being Batman caused him; however, he found out that it was in fact Amanda Waller, working on behalf of Cadmus, that issued Terry's dad to be injected with a serum that would rewrite his genes with Bruce's. Terry, after a long heated discussion, accepted that his destiny was his own choosing and he was a great Batman.

Rogues Gallery

Much like his predecessor Terry formed quite an impressive rogues gallery during his time as Batman.

The Jokerz are nothing more than a street gang compared to their namesake.
  1. Blight- An insane, power corrupt businessman who was exposed to huge amounts of toxic material which transformed him into a walking nuclear reactor.
  2. The Jokerz- A radical street gang that emulate Batman's original arch nemesis Joker. Many different Jokerz have been shown over time each utilizes different gags as their strength.
  3. Inque- One of Terry's most dangerous enemies, a woman who can turn herself into a black ink like substance and can morph her appendages into various weapons and tools.
  4. Shriek- A sound specialist who utilized his field to become the villain for hire Shriek. He used destruction sound waves to cause huge amounts of damage.
  5. Mr. Freeze- The original Freeze brought to the future because he is believed to hold the secret for immortality. He uses an updated version of his old armor that he kept in storage.
  6. Demon- A demon from the past that has lived for centuries.
