Teevine was a Red Martian captured by Voro, a psychotic Thark butcher that mutilated women and sold their body parts as meat for his fellow buyers. She appears in a dungeon along with Dejah Thoris, found rambling and half-mad, along with several other female prisoners in different mutilation states. When Teevine and Dejah try to overpower one of the butchers who came to take more meat, Teevine was taken instead and had her arm, leg and ears removed. When Dejah managed to escape and kill the guards, Teevine was among the other women who swarmed Voro and stabbed him to the inch of his life.
Teevine returned home and mostly recovered from her ordeal. Dejah visited her to see how she was and told her family whatever they need, she will provide.
