Will the TMNT age any further?

#1 Posted by Battle_Forum_Junkie (7590 posts) - - Show Bio

I was just wondering. I know that the turtles where in contact with teens the most, so that's what they got mutated into.

But will they age any further? I don't know much about them, but I've never seen a comic or episode where they time travel and meet they're older selves or anything.

Anyways, thanks for your time.

Will the X-Men?

Why shouldn't Jubilee be in her 40's by now? Cyclops in this 50's. Xavier in his 80's along with Magneto. <---- (Magneto & Rogue Picture)

@danhimself: But then they wouldn't be TMNT, they would be AMNT.

They didn't "mutate into teens". They just mutated and aged like a normal person would.....

There has been several stories in the comics and there was an episode I remember in the animated show where they  were older in the future....

@jeanlucpicard: They were just going by NT at that point

Givne how they keep getting marketed to children probably not. The originals were violent, killed people, smoked cigars, and even used guns on occasion.

Most futures Raph loses an eye for some reason, hes kinda cursed, but yes they have aged, but they probably wont for a long time unless Kevin Eastman decides it would make a good story, he can still write like 5 TMNT books a year, i think.

The Ninja Turtles should of stayed dead after the older ones died.

Turtles don't age at the same rate as a standard human, so they could be "teenage" for decades, one would think.

The origin of the Ninja Turtles differs, but the initial origin is that Splinter, who was the rat of Hamato Yoshi, had followed these turtles into the sewers where he found them playing in some sort of mutation goo, in which he also had gotten on himself, as well. At sunrise, Splinter woke up to be the size of a real man, but still in a figure of a rat and also transformed the once 4-legged crawling turtles into a 2-legged walking turtle being depicted to have human characteristics such as talking and thinking. Splinter, who had learned ninjustu from his cage while watching his master practice, teaches the turtles martial arts, naming them by famous artists and giving them different color headbands to give them their individuality - thus being called the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They were raised from adolescents and were not aged straight to teenage years. However, the mythos and continuity of the story starts off with them as teenagers, having them already learned ninjustu from Splinter.

Comicbook characters never grow up, they never age, they never die see Peter Parker, Starfire, Miss Martian, Franklin Richards, or pets like Superdog. If they die a magical plot called the revolving door can always bring them back from the dead

They're turtles. Turtles live really long and age very slowly. I recall hearing about one story where 100 years later they were only middle-aged.

@battle_forum_junkie: I hope not, comic characters don't really age unless the write makes them, but it would be cool the see the turtles older and how different there world would be.
