If you ask me, it is a regression back to the campy 80s/90s cartoon and pales in comparison to the 2k version.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Team » Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles appears in 1200 issues.
After four baby turtles were mutated by toxic goo called mutagen they were trained in the art of ninjutsu by fellow mutant Master Splinter. The Turtles different fighting styles and personalities build off one another making them a formidable team of ninja warrior superheroes.
Why do people like the new show?

You nailed it for me thats why I like it also they are using tons of references from the original comics too.
@jointron33: Have you actually watched it?
I like it for it's humor and the fact that they changed Splinter's history to make him Yoshi instead of Yoshi's pet rat, that part always seemed silly to me (even when the entire franchise is based on mutated turtles).
its sort of a go between for the more serious comic versions and the goofier elements that made the tmnt famous. its a freaking show about mutated turtles who were raised by a Rat that is a martial artist and used to be human, humor is not such a bad
thing.
The series is as childish as ultimate spiderman and teen titans go
no it isn't, it isn't anywhere near it

dont bother. Jointron isnt the most open minded guy.
@avenging_x_bolt: He lost all credibility when he referred to Galactus as Galaktakus
@jonny_anonymous: Unfortunately yes, this show is regressive as hell, harkening back to the detrimental changes and camp of the original show that the series was actually shedding when the 23k series came out

No it isn't at all, dude have you even watched the show because it sure doesn't sound like it?
@jonny_anonymous: Yes, I have born witness to its kiddy jokes and changes
@the_stegman: Lies and slander.
@jointron33: It's true, and that's the bottom line ,cause Stone Cold said so.
@the_stegman: hell no
The best thing about the Ninja Turtles is versatility, you can put them in a show for toddlers or a movie for teens or a brutal adults only comic and it can be perfect for its audience. Not even Batman is a versatile as the TMNT.
Great show.
When you're not being as dark and broody as the 4Kids show, you're not leaving the audience wondering why you can't use your damn bladed weapons.

The same thing has been done with Batman :/
