    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was one of the first graphic novels I ever read, it showed that comics could be slightly more serious, dark and sarcastic.  
    I'm really looking forward to watching this "The Dark Knight"-like movie people been talking about, looks like they'll finally diverge from the goofy cartoon depictions and make you feel like reading the original stuff.

    tmnt was pretty serious in the comics for most of the 90s. they where dark. Mike didnt even crack that many jokes.
