    The Good

Whether you loved the original comic book from the 80s or the cheesy but tons of fun cartoon from the 90s, you're going to love this series. It has familiar characters and tone, and frankly, the book is a lot of fun. This may not be the best jumping on point, but the book does a great job at keeping a newer reader up-to-date with the dialogue.

Dan Duncan's art is great on this issue. He has a great, dynamic style that jumps off the page that is his own. Also, Ronda Pattison's colors have a cool style that mesh so well with Duncan's art. There are two pages, split into four panels that capture this great moment of time of the turtles fighting. These are pages any comic fan would get excited for.

What got me most excited about this issue was seeing elements from the cartoon, which, in turn were from the original comic book. Both are awesome in their own way, but seeing the turtles fight off hordes of Mousers got me all giggly. I'm really digging Old Hob more than any of the other villains in this book. He has a history with Splinter and control of a bunch of Mousers. Pretty cool character.

    The Bad

As I mentioned before, this isn't the best jumping-on point, and it's best to read the earlier issues to get the full spectrum of what is going on.

    The Verdict

TMNT is what you should be reading if you're outraged by the Michael Bay news. This book is awesome on so many levels. If you read the original book or just watched the cartoon, you'll connect with this book and enjoy the heck out of it.

Dan Duncan's art is awesome and it will really get you excited, especially with Ronda Pattison's colors. Two pages in particular really caught my attention and art like this is what gets comic book fans excited to read comics.

Great characters in this issue, and aside from the characters you know and love, there's also new ones as well. I really loved everything about this book.

Again, if you think Bay is going a bad choice for this film and you claim to be a huge TMNT fan, then why aren't you reading this comic?

I've read the comics before, watched the cartoon series and movies. I can tell off the bat that Michael Bay is gonna rape this film. I hate the idea that he's calling it 'Ninja Turtles' instead of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Don't like the TMNT title either). I rather the title be of what we all grew up with. If I was him, I rather not go to a Comic Book Convention because of this. I'm tellin' ya, Bay better surprise me and fans all over the world with this project of his. I'm tellin' ya, Bay better surprise me and fans all over the world with this project of his and it better be good or else...

I feel like re-reading the comics!

@CTCFirebird: Paramount marketing changed the title. Not Bay.

BRAVO! I feel like only a handful of people on the Vine are reading this book. It's a shame, too, because I absolutely love it.

Plenty of places to get comics online, including the aforementioned Amazon. My favorite by far is HeavyInk since it's very easy to set up or end subscriptions and shipping is $0.99 if you get at least 3 comics or 1 trade shipped in the order. (I have no local comic shop.)

Such a great retelling. Each part of the mythos so far has been handled perfectly, but leaving it refreshing at the same time.

Can't wait to read more of this and pass on the Turtles from space.

I wish IDW would release this title digitally! I'm reading all their GI Joe titles, but I really want to add this one to the mix.

Im sure they will get around to it. if anything mention it on their website. if they get enough e-mails they just may put it digital.

In terms of the series itself. This is the best version of just past renditions of the Ninja Turtles that exists. dealing with mysticism, aliens, SCIENCE!, Little love story ;) , and some comedy.

All in all im done talking about Michael bay, we all know the man can't make movies to save anyones life. so lets just drop it as im starting to feel bad for the man and I don't want to feel that way hahahaha. but before i go, If Joe Quesada and Michael Bay ever had a love child it would be the anti-christ of the entertainment industry.
