    I'm sold

Note: I apologize that this may be a long review as I intend to talk about the TMNT micro series too.

This was a slow week for DC and there wasn't any Marvel book I was interested in picking up, so I decided to try out something new. Thanks to me playing the old video games on my emulator, I've been getting back into TMNT. Despite this being Issue Six, this could easily be a first issue. It opens with enough information and closes with you wanting more. While I don't really care about the events that previously happened, I am eager to see what happens to the Turtles now. Many older concepts such as the Mousers are given a modern and believable makeover. Even the dialogue doesn't feel corny or dated, it feels natural and well delivered. A big draw for me is just seeing the Turtles banter. It reminds me of Spidey's better days.

As for the micro-series, I picked up both the Rafael and Michaelangelo books.

Good lord both of these were excellent. Despite being spinoffs essentially, they do wonders to build up the world of the TMNT and develop the individual personalities of the boys. While Rafael's story was more of a setup for a bigger story arc, Mike's was mostly self-contained but could easily be expanded in the future.

All in all, I'm impressed enough to pick up not only the next issue but also the next book in the micro-series.

In the beginning of this book we get to see a glimpse of The Foot. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles follow there training and don’t get involved but to watch. The TMNT understand from this incident that there is trouble ahead. We also get to see Casey Jones meet April O’Niel and that’s going exciting since there a...

So, I'm a huge TMNT fan. I was a kid in the 80s and early 90s so of course they were my first official obsession. I never really bought the comics until this run started so I figured I would give it a try, especially with Kevin Eastman having a hand in things. I have liked it. Not loved, but I have enjoyed it and even recommended it to fans. It's a fun read with some nods to things from the original comics and the old cartoon(YES!!!) This issue starts the next story arc and sort of brings things...
