    THE GOOD

Teenage Mutant Ninja 'Stalgia -- Heroes Bringing Old Memories Back, Turtle Power!
Teenage Mutant Ninja 'Stalgia -- Heroes Bringing Old Memories Back, Turtle Power!

So we've had a pretty decent story arc. We've had Foot Ninjas vs. French Ninjas, turtle vs. turtle, father vs. son, and overall the Shredder wanting to takeover and rule everything (but you knew that already). This is a good story arc for those looking to read this series. It has everything a TMNT fan could want.

It was a predictable story, however though the predictability was a negative for this series, Kevin Eastman and his team of writers did a good job at keeping me engaged with the story. I never thought to myself that "this is extremely boring", I was just enjoying the story and the great art to go along. And that's what many readers of this story arc is going to remember. It was predictable, but it sure as Shell was enjoyable (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pun, You should know this from the TV series).

Artwork! Great job art team, you never cease to amaze my mind.

    THE BAD

    We all saw this coming.
    We all saw this coming.

Don't get me wrong, "City Fall" is one of my favorite story arcs of this series. It was the story arc that got me hooked on this series. However, I was hoping for a better, and not such a predictable ending. Maybe "City Fall", in my mind, I over hyped this up cause I was enjoying it so much. And it really is a great story arc. However, re-reading some of the prior issues in City Fall, I see it was a bit predictable at times. While it was all enjoyable, it was still a predictable experience. We have bad guy wanting to control everything, good guys coming to stop bad guy, allies get hurt, main good guy gets turned into a bad guy, good guys battle good guys, and eventually it all ends to the heroes having to leave the city. I know, you've heard this before. However, let not it's predictability stop you from enjoying this story arc. The team behind it did it really well, while it is predictable, it'll still be enjoyable.

Side note, the Shredder using Leo as a fake Chunin and Karai being the real Chunin, that was kind of stupid. Granted, I would believe Shredder if he told me the cars he was selling were not stolen and he's a certified "Cars Salesman", but that's above the point. I honestly don't think Shredder would just use Leo as a Chunin only to test Karai and see if she passes. However, this is just finding something to complain about. But seriously, you know Shredder would make a killer car salesman.

So here it is at last, the conclusion to the seven issue arch, City Fall. I haven't reviewed any of the other issues so this will be the only issue I give my commentary on. The build-up to this issue was great. We've seen some amazing things since part 1, Old Hob preparing for war and the Turtles seeking his aide, we've seen Karai coming to terms with Leonardo being picked over her as Shredder`s second in command. We've seen Casey as he recovers from the attack on him and Raphael and seen Casey...
