Gang!

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the legion of fans who have been supporting the TEEN TITANS since our very first issue almost two and a half years ago!

Why am I talking about it like its in the past? Because issue #30 and the annual a week later is going to the final issue of the most recent incarnation of the TEEN TITANS!

I'm thrilled the DC is letting me wrap up the story on a high note as the TEEN TITANS square off against the N.O.W.H.E.R.E. in a final battle -- bringing to conclusion the conflict that began in the first issue!

I'm certainly going to miss writing the adventures of Red Robin, Wonder Girl, Bunker and the rest of the gang. But as a huge, life long fan of the title I'm very excited about the whispered rumors I'm hearing race back and forth between New York and Burbank. (Trust me when I say we haven't seen the last of everyone's favorite teen team adventurers.)

So thank you Brett Booth, Tyler Kirkham, Ig Guara, Kenneth Rocafort and Norm Rapmund and Andrew Dalhouse, the ever effervescent Fabian Nicieza and Bobbie Chase, Katie Stewart, Anthony Marques, Mike Cotton, Eddie Berganza, Bob Harras and some guy named Dan DiDio!

It was a blast -- and keep an eye on this space for upcoming news about my latest project!

Good luck to Lobdell on whatever the future brings for him.

But I'm confused... is the series cancelled? Or is Lobdell just off the title? Seems like it might be getting cancelled and relaunched in the future?

I'm guessing it's like with Animal Man; Lobdell had a clear end point for his story, and DC is respecting that like they did with Lemire. I get the feeling we'll either see a relaunch of the series or some sort of spin-off (maybe calling it New Teen Titans as a reference to the old Wolfman era?) sometime in the next year or so.

@wardishy: i don't get it either mate another thing i don't get is where is kid flash & solstice in that pic are they going to stay in the future? is that why they are bringing wally back to replace bart?

Hmmm. Well I had dropped this title early on the new 52, Lobdell's writing isn't for me, but hopefully another creative team can give me what I want from the Titans some day.

Not surprised, this incarnation of Teen Titans has been drab from start to finish. I stopped on issue 12, and nothing I have read since has drawn me back. JT Krul should never have been dropped after the last volume.

I did not see this coming.

I am disappointed by this in so many ways. Scott leaving TT. Will there be a TT #31 or will we have to wait for a new series?

@ptigrusmagus: There wont be, apparently DC is letting TT end with Lobdell.

This is unfortunate, I really enjoyed his run. I wonder what is next?

I wonder what is next for this because it is basically the last of the young justice section of the new 52.

@ptigrusmagus: It sounds like the annual will be the last issue, with #30 being the final numbered issue. I'm hoping that TT will get relaunced, but I don't think that's going to happen right away. Hopefully DC plans on putting out another teen-centric book, although what that could be, I don't know.

@raggedscarecrow: I'm hoping it gets relaunched as well. The Titans are the most famous DC team right after the Justice League and I would hate it if DC axed them for good.

Shoot... Just when I was ready to start reading this book.

If it does get cancelled I hope it gets relaunched soon. I dropped off Lobdell's run early (it wasn't TERRIBLE but it wasn't what I was looking for and my pull list needed trimming) but I'm totally willing to give it another shot with a new creative team. I grew up with the Teen Titans cartoon, so it's sad that it's ending in any event.

Some of us can only hope he doesnt do a PAD X-Factor and is put on the relaunched replacement :)

Excuse me for not liking what Lobdell did to one of the best superhero teams of all time that's had some fantastic writers on it.

YOUNG JUSTICE that's the name of the teen book IMO is gonna be solicited soon enough.

I haven't been reading TT since Nu52 started, but I did enjoy reading The Trial of Kid Flash. I would like to say good luck to Mr. Lobdell, and may he find more properties to write about (maybe even creator owned?)

It really is a shame how sterile the young justice side of the New 52 eventually turned out to be. I don't think a whole lot of people can say DC has done a good job using their young characters.

Either relaunch Teen Titans with some new faces( Static, Blue Beetle, etc) or launch a Young Justice book done in a similar way to JLU or Hickman's Avengers team.

Now i just don't understand is the book getting finished just like I. Vampire & Demon Knights did & Animal Man is going to? Or is he just not going to write for it?

Cause bought news could be good, if it is getting finished it means it can be rebooted sometime in the future, but if it is not it means we get to finally enjoy some good teen titans stories, if I'm lucky it might become my favorite superhero team again :D

Wait wait wait, he is leaving Superman at issue 29 or 30 & leaving the titans at issue 30, so he is leaving my favorite hero & my ex-favorite team ( thanks for that lobdel ) does that mean that he is out of DC or will they let him change some other title to how he likes it?

Glad to see Harvest make a return, I stopped reading TT during the DOTF crossover ...too many books. Hope this continues the story-arc of what harvest motives are

One thing I'll be bummed about is if bunker doesn't somehow come out of this on a new team, sexual preference aside hes a good teammate and a quality role model

I enjoy the fact hes not defined by his sexuality, it doesn't hurt hes the comedic funnybone either =p

@2cool4fun: I think Teen Titans is finishing after Lobdell's desecration has been done but there's no indication he's leaving Superman or DC besides rumours on that topic. He says to look out for his next project and that's very likely to be with DC given his ties with them thus far.

@mrgreenlantern: Since it seems to play out entirely within the last issue and the annual, I would imagine it's going to be even more short shifted than how Krul's run ended with SB Prime.

Well...I wanted him off the title, but I didn't want the title to end. Talk about a double edged sword.

There was a time when the Titans and the Legion were big enough to compete with Marvel's X-Books. Now for the first time since they began, neither of them can even hold down an ongoing.

@matteopg: Lobdell isn't the most gracious of people on here if you've ever seen his posts on here. He can be downright abrasive, rude and stuck up to people on here, moreso than I ever was to him or in making this comment. Besides, it wasn't that rude a comment to make anyway.

@black_claw Where's the official source for this claim if you don't mind my asking because I haven't seen it. And I'll be very pleased if you're right in saying this since that means Lobdell won't be writing my favourite character anymore.

My exposure his Teen Titans run has been limited to the two issues that were in the Red Hood DotF trade, but the impression that I've gotten has been that Teen Titans has mostly been the Red Robin show. Maybe they're killing the book a la The Dark Knight to free up Tim Drake for use in Batman Eternal.

Hopefully this is true.

And nothing of value was lost.

Now I just hope that DC pretends that this run never happens, and cleans up all the shit Lobdell did to these characters.
