    Face the Facts 1

The Good: Damian. Bringing him in was a genius move. It allows for some excellent exploration of his character, and a whole big mess for the Teen Titans. The situations he causes are almost juvenile in their simplicity and it's perfect. And a lot of the taunts are brilliant. And the way different characters push each other's buttons, J.T. Krul really knows how to write the Teen Titans as the strangely knit group they are with the best chaotic clockwork of emotions playing off each other. The way...

Damian and the Teen Titans (JOY) 7

This is my first review, so here it goes. Warning as their might be a few spoilers… As you may already know, Damian Wayne - the current Robin - is joining the Teen Titans. However, things don’t go according to plan, and it is very entertaining to read. I love how the team interacts together like friends again instead of arguing. It is also funny reading them talk about Damian, reminds me about what I would do if there was a new person at school. Also reminds me of Twilight… okay, pushing that ...

    Teen Titans Issue 89 0

T-E-E-N, T-I-T-A-N-S, Teen Titans, Let's GOOOOO! Sorry, I really didn't know how else to start this review off. I mean, the theme is just so darn catchy and as I read this issue it kept popping into my head. This is a good sign though, because it means that as I read this comic it feels right. It feels like Teen Titans should feel. Lots of energy, lots of clashing characters, lots of fun. And if nothing else, J.T. Krul is making the Teen Titans fun again.   The issue opens with Barney, the ...

Try not to wet the bed 0

Hey there boys and girls, who wants to answer a trivia question?..... O.k. here it goes. "Who's only just a meter tall, got a bad attitude, has a chip on his shoulder and dressed up as Little Matches at halloween?"..... O.k. pencils down. If you'r answer was Damian Wayne then you can move onto the next question ( for the rest of you, better luck next year ). Now pay attention, Damian Wayne+Teen Titans+((Krull+Scott+Hazelwood)x2) = 'X'. What is 'X'? If you calculated X=Teen Titans #89 than you ca...

Wait, Damian is not a teen! 0

Meet the newest Robin in the Teen Titans: Damian Wayne. Pros: I dislike Damian. He has his moments, but I just dislike the kid. I understand why Dick is bringing him to the Teen Titans, but come on. Damian is not exactly a teen, but that does makes things more interesting. Damian thinks he has a legacy to live up to with his adoptive brothers. After all, Dick founded and lead the Teen Titans, Jason was a member for a brief time, and Tim was leader for a while as well. It doesn't help the fact ...

And then there was Damian 0

Ah a new issue and things are definitely looking better for the creative team.   (There might be Spoliers in this)   We start where we left off with Damian and Dick having infiltrated the Tower with an important announcement. Sadly Damian gets to open his mouth before Dick, so everything gets messed up with Rose and Damian ending up squaring off against each other. After that is resolved, the team now has to deal with Damian being there as well. Which quickly proves to be something else than ap...

"He can still be Robin." 0

Be sure to check out my review of Teen Titans #88.100 Words Or LessThe Teen Titans get a new member, the brash and cocky Damien Wayne! How will the team accept this new member and what does he have in store for them? And what are Dr. Caligan's plans for Barney and the unwelding powers he now possesses? So Then I Said...Another great issue is this. I've never read anything with Damien before but I know his reputation and I think J. T. Krul wrote him very well. A cocky immature child that thinks h...
