I thought this issue was about Raven.
I'm going to be honest, I stopped reading Teen Titans right after Robin left. I decided to pick it up during the Blackest Night event and since then, I've been reading it. That being said, Lets talk about Teen Titans #83.
Raven hasn't been getting any love lately. Something always happens to her. Well now she's gone missing and the Teen Titans go back to Titans Tower to look for her.....sort of.
Pros:
The artwork is decent. There's not much else I can say about it.
I did chuckle when Cassie told Superboy to "Make it harder".
Cons:
The teenage drama hindered this book a lot. I know they're teenagers (I was one once) but really? I always have that dilemma when reading some of the Teen Titans issues. I can understand Jamie leaving for a while, but if I remember correctly, didn't Connor and Cassie make up before Blackest Night event? Am I missing something? Also, the issue with Miss Martian is distracting as well. There's not a real good structure with the story. Where's Cyborg? I would expect to see him a little bit more in this issue. I'm still trying to figure out what Wyld is. Because of these problems, the story barely develops.
The Coven of Three story was boring to read. I can care less about the characters in the story especially Black Alice (I wonder if anyone even likes her?) These characters in this story seemed like they are in a worst case than the Teen Titans.
Overall, There's not much else to say about this issue other than the fact that it was pointless even the side story as well. Its not really "A Rift In A Haystack" but more of "A Rift In The Story." Hopefully in the next issue the Teen Titans will actually go find Raven.
