    Teen Titans V.S Superboy!

After a few months we finally manage to see the team together as the young heroes face off against superboy. And oh boy is it awesome!

The issue starts with the teen titans finally together as Red Robin who knows that if a guy can beat up wonder girl then he must be really powerful so he decides to take command of the group like the leader he is. But things don’t go well when Superboy starts using his tactile telekinesis and Kid Flash decides to be all cool and fights superboy alone. Seems like the kid hasn’t read justice league #3 or else he would had realize that just because he is fast, doesn’t mean he can’t get his butt kicked as superboy uses his tactile telekinesis to make K.Flash run at a speed he can’t control but he's saved by wonder girl……by kicking him hard enough to send him flying…..because getting sent flying like a rocket just to get splattered on the floor is clearly the best way to save him….or at least die in much less painful manner (okay I know that was the only way). Solstice goes after him while the Bunker saves wonder girl from more superboy brutality but instead of doing the obvious thing and punch him as hard as possible (even if we know he won’t feel that one a lot) he just covers his eyes from behind like if the two were best of friends…..gay best of friends but he just throws him away. But after such dumb thing to do, Bunker finally does something right and actually beats up the super brat by himself….till he gets his face smashed by a piece or rock and taken down. So who goes next? Tim even if he knows he is fighting a haxed mini-superman, with the telekinesis and all and goes all badass normal on him and…..beats him down to the ground? Wow…..for people who keep whining about Tim not looking like he was before the reboot, you have to admit that moments like this it kinda doesn’t matter….he is still a badass. But because Red Robin didn’t give him the finishing blow, superboy uses his telekinesis against his suit and electrocutes him (so he seems to wear a powersuit of sorts, explains why he could do all that badassery a minute ago). Wonder Girl tries to face him again but ends up getting destroyed again leaving solsire who rescued kid flash all by herself. She explains to him what N.O.W.H.E.R.E is truly doing to young metas as she is a living example, but he simply headbutts her to knock her out. The issue ends with superboy starting to doubt N.O.W.H.E.R.E, destroys the truck that was monitoring him and tells their leader that he is going home to get some answers while our heroes lay down defeated.

    The Good:

This is in fact one of the best battles I’ve seen during the re-launch. All the titans do their part in the fight even if it seems like superboy is in fact, the strongest out of the all. The group don’t know anything about being part of a team which is very understandable and believable. Bunker finally gets to show off a little bit so is Red Robin the only normal human in the team and still puts down superboy for a little bit. Heroes got their time to shine even if in the end they got overpowered by superboy and I'm glad that at least here, superboy actually is likable as he shows signs of liking Cassey and wished their situation was different for they could had been friends (or lovers if you know what I mean), also because he isn't as emotionless as he is in his own book.

    The Bad:

Why in the freaking hell would the people in DC try to force to read superboy #5 when I already read it and it was irrelevant? I believe others will agree with me on this one. But the Superboy tittle just sucks because it’s more like a tie-in comic to this series and everything that happens in there except the appearance of some of Gen 13 characters is just a bore. The cliché story of the “boy/girl created in a lab to be a weapon” just drags on and on till he will eventually join the titans which we know he probably will do it soon. Also the fact that there isn’t much but the fight….

    Overall: 4/5:

This issue was just filled with action packed awesomeness which makes this (excluding the awesome mini-series "The Ray" which i beg you to buy now, you will not regret it) the best young justice book around. It's fun, it has good characters old and new and things seem that will get better from now on as the war against N.O.W.H.E.R.E continues.

Scott Lobdell has been writing Superboy and Teen Titans to where you almost need to read them both. Now that we know a little bit about what is going on here, how does this fight and N.O.W.H.E.R.E. play out?  THE GOOD: I really like the art. I think that it gives the characters personality and habits they may do while in battle. It's simple things like these that make me feel that the characters are very real and have quirks about them. The art is probably my favorite thing about this issue. I r...

Well, that could have gone better. 0

Synopsis: The Teen Titans take on Superboy. What's Good?I haven't been keeping up with the Superboy series, but I like his characterization throughout this issue. He has a very cocky attitude when dealing with the Titans. Speaking of characterization, Scott Lobdell provides a great example of how despite the group finally together (minus Skitter), they don't work well as a team. Despite being trained by The Dark Knight himself, Tim still have issues to work with his teammates. They're not trained...
