Eyes Up Ladies and Gents...Especially Gents
Teen Titans #2 follows up directly after the last issue. Tim is still focused on getting a team together to fight against the agents of N.O.W.H.E.R.E and Cassie is still adamant about keeping out of it. We are also introduced to some new characters in this issue. The first of which is Skitter who is a half insectoid half human teenager that seems to be having trouble holding onto her humanity. The other is none other than Solstice who has undergone a serious cosmetic change. Though not as action packed as the last issue this one still has plenty to offer especially in terms of the characters Cassie and Tim.
The new Cassie really stands out from her pre-reboot roots, and really shows herself off as a woman with attitude by consistently being antagonistic toward Tim, but at the same time shows a softer side that she seems eager to hide. Not much can be said about the new character Skitter other than Brett Booth did an amazing job in designing her. It's going to be interesting seeing how a character--that is seemingly somewhat absent of abstract human thought--has to add to this rather dysfunctional team. Nothing miraculous stood out about this issue, but it was still very good. It is at least worth a look through if you're interested in seeing where this story is going, and so far it seems to be setting itself up for a pretty interesting plotline.
