    I think I liked it

(Ps, don't read if you don't like spoilers)

    My thoughts going in:

I both like and dislike Scott Lobdell. I love what he's done with Red Hood and The Outlaws, a bit neutral with Superboy, and I haven't been all that keen on Teen Titans, but I've stuck with it because of how much I loved it in the past and I'm just kind of hoping it comes together. I really love what he's done with Jason Todd, but not so much with Tim Drake, and I dislike both of their backgrounds of "not really being Robins" and not having a good relationship with the rest of the Batfamily. I always loved how brotherly Tim and Dick Grayson, and how prior to Jason's death he and Dick were also close. But no, not in the New-52. Again, I know it's a reboot but that was some of the things that dragged me into the love of it in the first place.

That being said, I have really enjoyed the Scott Crossovers, as I'm calling them, with the Teen Titans #15 and Red Hood and the Outlaws #16, so I was rather excited to read this.

    The summary:

I want to start off by saying the opening was one of the best openings I've seen in from Scott, though I guess credit goes to Brett Booth, Andrew Dalhouse, and Norm Rapmund for the amazing design work:

So I'm loving it already. The Joker then makes the inevitable "Under the Red Hood" joke which I had to smirk at and then proceeds to be his bat-poop crazy self. Pun 100% intended. Then Joker's all like "I found your fathers."

Then it does a freaking "Meanwhile" shot to the rest of the two teams basically just insulting each other, Solstice keeps referencing to this stranger we haven't met but can "Boost their powers." This random guy we know as Kurt Lance gets attacked by this random chick from Basilisk who wants the Titans and then knocks him unconscious. And then what was alluded to in Teen Titans #14, we finally see Trigon and he's talking to his daughter Raven. So at least we know what's coming next.

Then we come back to the Reds.

They have admittedly decent banter then the Joker is all like "fight to the death" and Tim's all like "AH heck no!" and Jason's just like "Tim you're going down."

I'm with Tim on this one Jay. I love you, but seriously? What's up Scott, reading Harry Potter 3 and decided to up the angst?

So they fight, Tim wins, and he's all like:

And yeah, just like it says, like they've been working together for years they took down the joker. I usually don't OD on pictures in my reviews, but I needed to put this in:

I love what Tim says because it's very true and it's kind of why I love Jason. He may be S-L-O-W, as the Joker says, but he can be smart when he needs to be. Sometimes you do what you gotta do. Plus he makes Isabel OD and he already killed Jason, so Jason was kind of in the right here. Quick note, I really like Isabel and I hope she's ok! I really want to see her again!

Anyway, the Joker doesn't really die, sings a really creepy song, and the Reds fall, and we have two platters as our final thing.

    The Good:

All in all I rather enjoyed it. Everything I said up there is this so I won't waste time repeating.

    The Bad:

Ok, I am really getting tired of your notes Eddie! Like seriously dude, can you go a page without saying something?? And then there is the break up in the story; couldn't that wait or be in the front or something?

    The Ugly (conclusion):

Not too bad. Some issues, but pretty enjoyable. 4 stars.

I have enjoyed this series since it started over a year ago, and although it's had a few bumps along the way, it's still been a very fun series. I was looking forward to this part in the Death of the Family crossover, as it also has this series crossing over with Red Hood and the Outlaws, something I wanted to see, especially considering Scott Lobdell writes both.PlotThis issue sees Red Robin (Tim Drake) facing of against Red Hood (Jason Todd) in a fight to the death, with their fathers on the l...

Gotham Runs Red!To see this review with images, Click Here.RHATO #16 was a massive disappointment with a story which completely skipped the plot of Red Hood and Red Robin to focus instead on Roy Harper and the Teen Titans. Presumably, Teen Titans will be focused purely on the Reds which would mitigate some of these annoyed feelings of mine. I've already read a preview for this issue, and I am actually a little excited because in the preview, Tim was presented as analyzing the situation in a fash...
