    Ted Kord was the second person to become the Blue Beetle. Deprived of the scarab that empowered his predecessor, Ted was forced to rely on his superior athleticism, fighting prowess, and technological genius to combat crime. He died a hero at the hands of Maxwell Lord.

    Ted Kord is alive and well on Friday's episode of "Batman: The Brave And The Bold" on Cartoon Network.  You may recall when I interviewed Will Friedle (voice of Jaime Reyes, Blue Beetle) and he mentioned that Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: Next Generation) will be doing the voice of Ted Kord.  We've already seen the Jaime Reyes Blue Beatle on the show a couple times.  With a title "Fall Of The Blue Beetle!," things may not look too good for old Ted.

    Besides Wil Wheaton, the episode also guests Lex Lang as Dr. Polaris, Will Friedle as Jaime Reyes/Blue Beetle and Jason Marsden as someone named Carlos (Jaime's friend?).

    The synopsis is as follows:
    Blue Beetle traces his legacy back to the original Blue Beetle, to learn why the Scarab has chosen him to share in it’s powers and become a super hero.  The journey leads him to the dangerous Science Island where he battles legions of robots alongside Batman and learns the truth behind Ted Kord’s disappearance.

    Alright!  I don't mind the current Blue Beetle but Ted Kord was the man.

    They should have the scarab be destroyed and someone clone Ted with all his memories and skills and have him come back.

    Glad to hear it.  Often when I post them, no one really comments.  I sometimes use that to gauge what I should focus on and what to lessen.  Cartoon Network has been sending me images and videos each week that a new episode airs (the same is with Lucasfilm and the Clone Wars).
