Taskmaster seems to be a
Character » Taskmaster appears in 324 issues.
I started thinking about it and Taskmaster's ability, while relatively rare, is not unique. Even before Monica Dawson (Heroes) there were others. Echo, Grunge, Cassandra Cain, Conner Hawke, Ryan Tabbot and Zeiss are the ones I know of, anyone know some others?
I think its mostly popular with only taskmaster compared to the others and he also made weapons for his abilities as well. And he looks really cool lol.
Taskmaster precedes the others so potentionaly has had more time for exposure.
It sounds to me like the sharingan of sasuke and kakashi lol

who's ryan tabbot? And i didn't know conner hawke had that as a power.
Is Echo's power identical to Taskmaster's? Can she mimic any action she sees, or only fighting styles?
Iron Apollo says:
"who's ryan tabbot? "
He's from Gold Digger.
Alexander Anderson says:
"Is Echo's power identical to Taskmaster's? Can she mimic any action she sees, or only fighting styles?"
It's the same.
I don't really care who came first, just looking for more people with the skill.
Prodigy would probably qualify.
I have a question.
Is Taskmaster's abilites limited,if he isnt strong or fast enough to do what he sees?
If he watched the Matrix, could he do what they do?
I believe, and I could be wrong, that he would be able to perform the moves that didn't require superhuman abilities. And even then he wouldn't be able to do them at the same speed. (unless using double time)
But really, in comics what is super human and what isn't are always blurred. Like he has copied the Bullet Catch now I don't care what anyone says, a normal human cant catch a bullet. It would require a level of super human durability (so the bullet doesn't blow a hole in your hand) super human reflexes/speed, and super human hand eye coordination.
Yet Taskmaster saw someone else do this move, and has now added it to his arsenal. So its my opinion that using double speed, Taskmaster would be able to perform some of the moves in the Matrix.
Conner Hawke does not have this ability. He is gifted with martial arts because he has been doing them so long, but has ability to copy someone else's style is not superhuman like Taskmasters. Also, neither is Cassandra Cain's in a superhuman way, and has actually lost a part of this ability. She only gained it because that part of her brain was stimulated and essentially replaced her speech area, so she used more of her brain in order to see, understand, and respond to what she saw.
There was this one villain that appeared in Spider-Man/X-Force. His name was Mirror something. He was able to copy anything I think.
Oops, It was Spider-Man/X-Factor and his name was Mirrorshade.
"Cain has not lost the ability to mimic people's moves. And Taskmaster can not copy Superhuman moves. "That is why he pays big money for Wolverine video recordings. He is probably about as close to superhuman without crossing the line.
