Better Look!

Which custom you think is better?

#2 Posted by DanceGreenman (53 posts) - - Show Bio

i Like both, the second one is more "real" world and the first is more comic world. I kinda like the second one better, I'm not a big fan of capes.

#3 Posted by Precise (21947 posts) - - Show Bio

The first, i like it when he carries all the weapons around

#4 Posted by Andferne (38280 posts) - - Show Bio

I like the first look a lot more.

#5 Posted by ~The Wanderer~ (34196 posts) - - Show Bio

Most definitely the second one.

#6 Posted by wolverine9981 (226 posts) - - Show Bio

the second. The first really looks like he was rushing out and put his pants on before his undies!

#7 Posted by Harlekin (727 posts) - - Show Bio

The second one was the one I liked and wonder why they dropped.

Probably because the first is a lot better.

This is a tough choice. I like both looks, although he looks alot more menacing in the first one.

#10 Posted by Alexander Anderson (4306 posts) - - Show Bio

The first one has nostalgia value, but not much else.  It's kind of a mess.  The second, however, is brilliant.  It takes the core elements of the classic costume and brings a modern, 'black-ops' feel to them.

#11 Posted by Mutant X (1584 posts) - - Show Bio

The first one.

He looks cool with a cape.

#12 Posted by Nightwolf3 (1644 posts) - - Show Bio

i'm personally a fan of the first one, he looks pretty crazy three

#13 Posted by Korg (11351 posts) - - Show Bio

The one on the right. The mask is a lot cooler, he's not wearing tighty whities outside his pants, lack of stupid-looking boots, etc.

#14 Posted by Nighthunter (29560 posts) - - Show Bio

first one

#15 Posted by claws (5266 posts) - - Show Bio

second one

#16 Posted by lordraiden (8518 posts) - - Show Bio

Hmmm, like both, first for nostalgic/classic reasons, second one, more, as someone else stated, "black ops" fine tuned down to earth version. Will go with the second one as far as bringing him into the future goes.

#17 Posted by geraldthesloth (32689 posts) - - Show Bio

The first reminds me too much of moon knight

2nd is way better

#18 Posted by Erik (32504 posts) - - Show Bio

I like the second better. I agree that the hood is too reminiscent of Moon Knight's. This second one seems to be just his and not copied parts from others. But I think that the second should have more weapons.

Second one actually looks like a professional mercenary. It looks like it has functionality. First one looks like an overdone Halloween costume.

I think that is what he is going for with the cape and hood. I might be imagining this but I could have sworn I read a comic when he was a "good" guy training people he would wear a specific tshirt to show who he is fighting as. But again I might just be imagining that.
#21 Posted by Vance Astro (89666 posts) - - Show Bio

The second one is too street..looks like he's wearing a sweatsuit.

#22 Posted by logan48227 (299 posts) - - Show Bio

The first one is classic, but for him being a professional mercenary the second one just makes a whole lot more sense. Especially when he uses the solid light device for weapons. It never made sense to me how he could leap and flip around like Spider-Man or Daredevil while carrying all of that gear around.

#23 Posted by Praetor_fenix (227 posts) - - Show Bio

He looks more of a badass in the first, but the second is more likely to be a real mercenary's suit. Hi-Tech gear on the secon one is cool and very practical, but still i prefer old school one.

first. its vintage and screams " Taskmaster ".
has that Skeletor face so you can get a sense of his mood.

Second one

#30 Posted by PrinceIMC (5505 posts) - - Show Bio

Yeah I love the Udon outfit. It was a nice step forward but then they went back to the old one.

I like both but the second is the 1 that really appears to me because it looks more up to date. The 1st is cool because it has the Moon Knight feel going for it & who doesnt like MK lol

I like the second one the best. I've liked Taskmaster since I first read about him in one of my hand books. Where he was wearing the first outfit but when I read his mini by UDON I felt that his new one (the second one) was way more fitting to the character.
#35 Posted by Barbie (834 posts) - - Show Bio

second one. Just meets my personal taste better with the new mask and all. The old costume is still cool though.

#36 Posted by Vance Astro (89666 posts) - - Show Bio

Both costumes are good depending on who draws it.

#37 Posted by MrMiracle77 (1673 posts) - - Show Bio

Second one is a little too Doom-meets-Shield for my taste.
I like the first one, a subdued version of the classic.

#38 Posted by Ultimate Magneto (1203 posts) - - Show Bio

I like both like most of everyone here, but the second one has a nice modern feel without losing the Taskmaster vibe. Both, however, have similarities to other heroes/villains. Not that it's a bad thing, but just throwing it out there.

#39 Posted by IrishX (2837 posts) - - Show Bio

Both are great but I'll vote for the first one.

I think it is actually because David Finch was unaware that Taskmaster had an another costume and he was the one who drew taskmaster in his heavily advertised push in Moon Knight.  How do I know? because I asked him why he chose to use the old costume ( he was singing my New Avengers #1 and #5 at the time ) and he said that he did not know that Taskmaster had a different outfit
#41 Posted by evodmasters (593 posts) - - Show Bio

The fist one looks like a physical representation of his powers, just him taking parts of other people to make his costume. The second one looks more original. To be honest, I am fine either way.

#42 Posted by Omega Ray Jay (8365 posts) - - Show Bio

Both good but first for me.

#43 Posted by MisterDK (227 posts) - - Show Bio

Was just coming on to see if this had be discussed. I much prefere the 2nd style from the 2002 mini. Always thought the cape and skull look was a bit silly. I also like his new equipment in that run, with the (I can't remember its actual name) "solid light shield".

#44 Posted by Fresh0133 (534 posts) - - Show Bio

I loved the second one when that mini came out, I'd been waiting for an update for years.  I don't really mind that he went back to his original costume these days, guess the years have softened me because I was pretty pissed when I saw him back in the original.  I still like the second one more though.

#45 Posted by MisterDK (227 posts) - - Show Bio
@Nova`Prime`: This...?
#46 Posted by DragynWulf (31 posts) - - Show Bio

The first costume looks better and it fits the character better, while the other costume limits the character.
Most people look at the costume and think that he is being held down by all the weapons (at least that is what I've seen each time this discusion is made). However, this is not the case. He trains to fight with all those weapons just like Iron Man does with a bulky suit of armor, Hawkeye does with his bow & arrows, and Captain America with his shield. No other character in the Marvel Universe comes close to having an arsenal like Taskmaster. Plus it works with the character because it works with his photographic reflexes, allowing him to use one weapon after another or even two or three weapons at the sametime (like he did when he took on both Captain America and Iron Man).
On a side note... over the years a lot of people (not here from what I have seen I might add) have claimed that Taskmaster is a Skeletor rip-off, however Taskmaster was created before Skeletor.

The second one. It's more bad ass

#48 Posted by BloodTalon (476 posts) - - Show Bio

I am pleased to see that most people like the UDON outfit better I like it better too his old outfit is just so out dated he could at least get rid of the white undies on the out side of his pants I mean come on Superman and Batman got rid of theirs and his are no where near as iconic as theirs were

#49 Posted by Morku (30 posts) - - Show Bio

I think the 2nd is the better. He may not be carrying all the weapons of the first but the device on his wrist can mimic them.
