    Origin

    Tarrak is a very old man who has become the Royal Wizard to King Randor and Queen Mariena.

    Creation

    Tarrak only appeared in one issue, Masters of the Universe #1 - To Tempt the Gods, and was created by Paul Kupperberg. Appearing almost a year before Orko, Tarrak could have inspired the popular bungling wizard.

    Major Story Arcs

    Masters of the Universe (DC Comics, 1982)

    When He-Man is tricked by Skeletor to find the Three Amulets and the Power Sword, he remembers that the Cosmic Star Cluster Talisman is in the pocession of Tarrak the Royal Wizard. He-man goes to Tarrak's Chambers where he finds Tarrak being attacked by demons. He-Man with the help of Teela and Man-At-Arms fights off the demons freeing Tarrak.

    They soon learn the demons took the Cosmos Talisman, and they need Tarrak's help to find the other talismans. Tarrak has trouble using his powers to find the other magic items and is interrupted when Stratos is in danger. Tarrak is able to make Stratos invisible and save the hero's life.

    Tarrak is never seen again but he is mentioned as the one who made the underwater breathing potion used by the heroes later in their quest.
