    Some Character Development; Otherwise Unremarkable

This issue has no real contact between the Hulk and Boomerang (or the Secret Empire) - and is better for it; it mostly deals with the Army and Rick Jones' search for Betty Ross. Yes, you got it - a typical Hulk story. Bounding around in the desert. Firing useless artillery. Caves. Hulk smashing stuff. You get the picture. And that makes it an actual improvement over the last several issues because it feels less like a 'superhero' title. Then again, how many times are we going to go down this road? Although, the Hulk eventually grabs Rick Jones and General Ross and takes them to Betty. So finally Betty comes to accept that the Hulk is in fact Banner, and Ross (provided there's no reversal next issue) says, "...somehow I find myself beginning to understand..." So that's something. Maybe this title is going somewhere after all. It's just taking its sweet time about it.
