Where do Symbiotes come from?

We know Venom, Carnage and the other symbiotes are alien. And weve seen a symbiote in Emperor Vulcan's Imperial Guard. But my question is what planet do the Symbiotes come from? I find it a little weird how this has never been brought up, seeing how Venom is Spider-man's most popular villian. Youd think they would be conquering worlds with all that they could do. There is a videogame called  Spider-Man: Web of Shadows that takes place on an Earth taken over by these symbiotes. 
So my question again is where do these Symbiotes come from and why do you think more information hasnt been set about their roots?

umm a little far you just get to see the first synombites and what they do and there planets and Eddie Brock kindve explains the rest its pretty cool comic pick it up if you get the chance

Yeah. The symbiotes come from other planets.

When a mommy and a daddy symbiote love each other very much they pray to the Symbiote-God and if they are good they are given a little baby symbiote to take care of.

Also, Venom emitted a psychic scream on the remainder of his race back in the 90s "Planet Of The Symbiotes" story, which killed them. Leaving only he and Carnage as the last remaining symbiotes in existance. (This was before Toxin obviously).

That was not the entire symbiote race that was killed, just an invading army
