Toxin is good as well it's just those other minor symbiote's that I don't like.

It would be cool if there were symbiotes not descended or related to Venom, symbyiotes that aren't a weird ooze that binds to people. I think it's a lack of imagination that has stopped the writers from exploring more extreme variations of the symbiote idea.
