Von Strucker?? Javert is a alternate reality of the original Swordsman. If you have ever read Avengers vol.1 19-135 then you would see that this one ruled.

Von Strucker couldn't beat the original on a good day. So what if he has a mutant power. The original had a special sword made by the Mandarin himself. Not to mention the skill of actually being a master swordsman.

Yo. Thanks for the shout-out bro. Not an expert of either per se but rather an expert on swords and swordsmanship in general. I am familiar with them both of course as I am most Marvel and DC sword wielders :D.

Von Struckers costume (except for the thigh-high boots) and sword are WAY cooler looking than Javerts (except that VS's swords hilt is, yuck, wrapped with his dead sisters skin so he can bio-electric-blast through it) and he is a talented swordsman, but Javert went toe to toe with that universes Black Knight twice which says a lot.

I would say Von Strucker wins in the costume department but Javert wins In a good sword fight.

Swordsman would stomp him. He wouldn’t even need Mandarin’s Makluan sword tbh. Valkyrie admitted she couldn’t outskill him and an alternate reality Jacques (with the exact same genetics, skill, and movement) stomped Black Knight in a sword fight. But yeah I do wish they’d bring him back. Although the current writers probably wouldn’t respect his Makluan sword as a serious threat like it was when it one-shotted Vision, Maximus, and Goliath, & wrecked Wonder Man.
