The Story So Far
Issues #11 has Arcane taking Abigail away against her will. After taking a beating in last months issue we find that the Parliament has returned the favor and saved Swamp Thing from certain death. A very cool Green vs. Rot battle follows. We end with a scene that has been in the making for almost a year now.
Hit
I love the art in Swamp Thing. It feels like the panels are almost grown as much as they are drawn. A lot of the panel shapes seem very organic and earthy. Arcane is down very well and is creeptastical. Having each of his wounds turn it mouths was genius. We get an epic battle scene showcasing both Swamp and Arcane's newest abilities and we get that sense of hate between the two of them. All of his leads to the moment that many have been waiting for. Present day Swamp Thing and Animal Man in the same place getting ready to join forces against the Rot. Even though I knew it was coming, I found that I was still surprised to see the Bakers at the end. I am so ready for this crossover to happen.
Also, Holland telling the Parliament that he would chop them down himself was priceless.

Another very good issue with little to complain about. The only reason it wasn't a five is because I though the last issue was just slightly cooler by itself.
Your Job
Read this title. Snyder has yet to do me wrong. And even though it is not required, read Animal Man as well. Those two books could not complement each other better. They are like peanut butter and jelly. Cookies and millk. Bacon and more bacon. Man, I am hungry. Anyways, I am always thankful that someone recommended I read this book and so I am doing the same to you. Great Stuff.
