    Rotworld Begins 0

Grant Morrison is probably the master of the long-form story, having taken six years to tell his epic Batman tale. But Scott Snyder comes in at a close second, the proof of which is found in the opening chapter of the Rotworld crossover, an issue 14 months in the making. As always, Snyder's writing is crisp and engaging, and his characterization of the various players in the issue is spot-on. Since Swamp Thing (the character) is our entry point into Rotworld, his own consternation with regard to ...

The GoodThis series even though I only have been reading it since issue 12 has been great with perfect characterization, great plot and awesome art. This issue starts off with Swamp-thing being threatened by Poison Ivy to reveal who he is becauseSPOILER WARNING: Click here to reveal hidden content.Animal-man and Swamp-thing were thrown one year into the future Poison Ivy and Deadman believe that both Alec and Buddy ran away so they don't believe he is Alec. This issue also has a part with Abby Ar...

    Attack the Teen Titans! 0

Snyder has done it again! He has created a masterpiece! And when I say that, I`m not referring only to Swamp Thing, but Batman, American Vampire and a bunch of other awesome books that he writes as well. He must be my favorite comic writer ever alongside Alan Moore, Greg Miller and Stan Lee.Synopsis: Swampy arrives in the Rotworld, after a whole year of rot domination. Poison Ivy (who, by the way, cannot believe that he is actually Holland) and Deadman take Alec to the Parliament of Trees (that ...

THE GOOD: Yanick Paquette does an amazing job drawing this book. The style he provides has a lot of details and it's just fun to look at. the emotions of the people that he draws are strong and really help support the emotional aspect of the book. The horror part of the book also excels with the way he draws things. The story is fantastic and it makes sense even though we don't quite know what happened. The concept of the green living up in the sky is really cool. The other character that are in...

It's not Easy being Green 0

For prior reviews Swamp Thing #1 and Swamp Thing #2.The Plot: What happened to Abby Holland??? What happened to the world? Swamp Thing finds that while he was in the Rot a lot of things happened. The Art: Yanick Paquette's art is amazing here. The panel layout itself is fantastic but the art is great. The Story and Script: Swamp Thing has been building up to this moment since issue one, and don't get me wrong it's a good start but I can't help but feel a bit let down. The best scenes in this issue...

    One Year Later 1

I was never a Swamp Thing fan and the Brightest Day story arc along with the Brightest Day Aftermath: The Search for Swamp Thing put me off him even more so I didn't get the series when The New 52 started. After hearing brilliant things about the series and seeing how good a writer Scott Snyder is after reading the current Batman series I decided to get Swamp Thing Vol. 1: Raise Them Bones which I thoroughly and have since decided to get the series since this issue.PlotThis issue starts with Swa...
