Suske and Wiske are rafting in South America and meet two men who lost their raft after an accident. Our heroes take them on board, but soon the gentlemen are not as innocent as the seem. They're searching for the God of the River, a gold statue that's somewhere in a holy indian resting place. Therefor they not only need our friends raft, but also their indian guide. The villains kidnap Suske and Wiske, but the indians guard their possessions and even the God of the River seems like a tough opponent.
