Supreme Power: Hyperion # 3 - The Least Resistance

Overview

Outed as an alien and betrayed by the government that raised him, Hyperion finds himself on the run, the target of elite, super-powered individuals charged with arresting or destroying him. And with the full resources of the federal government behind them, these four super-powered hunters – based on the characters from the original Squadron Supreme – just might take Hyperion down!

Emil, Nuke, Shape, and Arcanna stumble upon a severely injured Nighthawk. All of them hide and try to heal Nighthawk as he explains what has happened in this alternate reality.

After Hyperion returns to the government, "rehabilitated," Nighthawk explains that there was no one he was able to trust to keep an eye on Mark besides Stan, The Blur. Except being able to gain Stan's help was difficult, Stan being a loyal friend to Hyperion. Eventually, Nighthawk coaxes Stan to keep a watchful eye and report immediately to Nighthawk.

After a year of more superheroes joining, Nighthawk begins to have his doubts, but discovers that Stan was stopped by Hyperion. Stan spyed on Mark and Blue Eagle. Hyperion leads Blue Eagle to a cave and tricks him into a device which renders him under Hyperion's control.

As Stan oversees this, Hyperion discovers Blur was watching the whole time. Stan tries to run, but never gets far.
