Plot Summary

At the same time Superman decided to protect the whole world and, so, abandoned Metropolis, Outburst witnessed the cold-blooded murder of a peacemonger.

Then, LexCom (a broadcast news corporation owned by Lex Luthor) presented him as young vigilante unable to succeed.

In fact, Lex Luthor used this trick in order to bring Outbust to him. He decided the young hero was to be the first member of a new team who could replace Superman: the Supermen of America.

A lot of teenagers tried to be admitted into the team, but, finally, White Lotus, Brahma, Loser, Pyrogen and Psilencer joined Outburst to form the first Supermen of America team.

After some training, the Supermen go to their first mission. However, Outburst, the leader, isn't present. During the battle, a thug killed an overconfident Psilencer. Outburst was very sad and wanted to quit, but Luthor convinced him to again be the leader of the team.

In fact, the thugs were hired by Luthor in order to strengthen the team and elicit sympathy from the public.

In the end, Superman himself comforted Outburst. Was it enough?
