Dick Grayson as Batman in Superman/Batman?

#1 Posted by TheMess1428 (2176 posts) - - Show Bio

From what I've always known, Superman/Batman has always been Clark and Bruce. And I have also always known that since the Supergirl storyline ended, the series has not been in the current DCU continuity. But now I want to know if the team now consists of Superman and Dick Grayson as Batman. Anyone know about this? Please clear this up for me. Thank you.

Just think of it as another universe, it's not even a universe in continuity. Hope that helps

I don't even read DC and I know that Bruce Wayne isn't dead.

Yeah its like things that happened in the past or something. Not during currents DCU stories.

Since DC has officially installed Dick Grayson as Batman, I have no more interest in the SupermanBatman title. Bruce Wayne has been dropped. The base concept is no more. The stories which revolved around the core friendship of Bruce and Clark will be no more. DC should have re-started  or re-named this title to Superman(wannabe-)Batman. It's exactly like  Marvel's Bucky Barnes (trying to) become Captain America. No. Sorry, but no cigar. All either of these former sidekicks will ever be are pale shadows (imitations) of their mentors. I don't buy it. Thank you, Marvel and DC for making it so easy for me to stop buying comics altogether. I've read both publishers' books since I was a kid in the 50's and 60's. Nowadays, you cannot pick up a 'single issue story' even without having to buy 12 other 'tie-in' books to see 'other angles' of the same story. Maybe I'll get into this new DC Kirby-Genesis book. Goodbye, Superman-Batman. It was good while it lasted.

You know, why the hell not? If they're making Superman younger--which I still suspect they are--then they could go ahead and have a Superman/Nightwing book. I think that'd be a good way to get the name "Nightwing" in public consciousness a bit more.

I think a SUPERMAN/NIGHTWING book wouldn't sell much worse than a SUPERMAN/BATMAN book, especially if the creative team is decent.
