    Superman/Batman Annual #3: Compound Fracture

Superman and Batman fight a monstrous World's Finest villain. A composite Superman! Superman and Batman must out think this monster before it kills them both. The composite Superman plans on living Clark's average life, and also Bruce's multi billionaire life. This is the strangest annual yet, artist Chris Batista (Booster Gold) supplies the interior art for this issue while writer Len Wein (Final Crisis) tell this re-imagined story line! Together the two will create the strange ties that bind Batman and Superman together as a team!

    The Good

This Annual of Superman/Batman was terrific. Annual 2 only had the great story, however it lacked the action. This annual has the action and the story. Artist Chris Batista did a good job at drawing this issue, however the cover of this issue has been the coolest yet. Horror Master Bernie Wrightson makes sure that this is a "must have" annual, the drawing of the Composite Superman was highly detailed. This is good because the reader should be interested in a comic because of the cover and a great story. The art and the story flowed together just right, telling the tell of an attempt to clone all the members of the J.L.A (Justice League Of America) and to make the ultimate living weapon. Although the attempts failed, The Composite Superman lived! His story is more of a Superman than a Batman, while I don't understand why they decided to call him Composite Superman instead of Composite Superman/Batman it was still a good story.

These re-imaginary stories are good. However, if it has been done before let stay in the past. Annual 2 was based off of a comic that came out (who knows how long ago) and this is just bits and pieces of comics that were put together in the past.

    The Verdict

Compound Fracture is the Name of This Story! Artist Chris Batista and Writer Len Wein did a great job with this issue. However, the moral lesson of this story is that no one hero can be in the same body! Overall this is a 3.5 out of 5.
