    Superman/Batman #75: The Anniversary Issue!

     Legion Adventures!?! Good or Bad.

"What Would You Do If Bruce Had Ever Kissed Lois?" - Conner Kent (Superboy). The Anniversary issue is now! While it isn't a 700, 100 or 600th issue number, Superman/Batman has gone through a whole bunch of changes over the years. In the beginning, there was "Public Enemies" which started with Ed McGinnis, Jeph Loeb and Dexter Vines, from that point Superman/Batman has been reading material that brings stories from the past, present and future! With 75 issues (and 4 Annuals), Superman/Batman's series has done a great job. Artist and Writers galore, issue 75 of Superman/Batman has some talented writers and artist on board. Superman/Batman issue 75 has a whole bunch of stories that everyone could enjoy.

What's sometimes (not all the times) good about Superman/Batman's series, you can start "anywhere" and I do mean anywhere in the series and no what's going on. Sure you've got to pick up a previous issue for that "specific" story, however their isn't really "major" requirements to read this series. That's what I've always liked about these amazing stories. This 75th of Superman/Batman series has been my favorite. The artist, writers, colorers and letterers did a great job working on the "different" stories inside this issue. The good thing is that, readers that pick this issue up can also like and dislike certain stories. There is something for everyone in this Anniversary issue. I enjoy every time the Legion teams up with Superman, that is a special treat for L.O.S.H. (Legion of Super Hero) Fans. The add of writer/artist David Finch was great, the story "Eternal" stared Conner Kent (who is Superman) talking to Damian Wayne (Batman Of The Dark Future). Showing how their differences, brought them together to honor the memorial of the original Superman and Batman. "Joker and Lex" story was great, showing a "Peanuts Charlie Brown" kind of feel on Dc comics. Or a Tiny Titans story line. The most inspirational story lines in this anniversary issue was, "We Can Be Heroes" and Adam Hughes' "Life Goes On." Showing that no matter how much darkness their is in the world, good always triumphs over evil. Words to live by.

I like Legion Adventures back in time with Superman. However, The Superboy (Clark Kent) thing is something I've never liked really at all. When Supes teams up with them as an adult, that is always interesting. However, when I read Clark being Superboy I just (somehow) know, how things are going to turn out.

    The Verdict

Anniversary of Superman/Batman has come and gone. More stories will arrive after this. However, this issue (the standard) will always be remembered as "The Issue That Was 75." Overall this is a 4 out of 5.
