Unbelievable Issue
After hearing that Hawkman and Captain Marvel had captured Batman and Superman, Nightwing leads a team of the Batman Superman families to free them from the White House. Something it seems that Luthor had anticipated, and he ends up capturing both teams. At the same time we see that Captain Atom had been transported to the future where he meets Superman, the only man left on the face of the Earth. He tells Captain Atom that He and Batman made a wrong decision, and he sends Captain Atom back in time with that knowledge.
This book was just unbelievable. Then again I have always thought that for the most part the regular world has never been portrayed as anything but a victem. Wouldn't you think that the Government would have contingencies for Superhero attacks? Especially if they were attacking the President? Now if comics would show street level police armed with something more than regular world cops. Or that the Whitehouse would be protected by more than just secret service.
If you can get past the fact that a bunch of Batman clones can storm the Whitehouse without meeting "super" opposition, this is a great issue. If you are like me and have a hard time with that little fact, then it will lose a few points.
