    Красный Сын!

Was that planned? Was that for shock value? Just for the fans?

Who knows, who cares, it doesn't matter. This issue probably had the coolest moment in any Superman comic book I've ever read.

Batzarro breaks into the Justice League Watchtower, he teleports himself into another dimension, he appears in mid-air, falling down towards his destination, then an authority figure grabs him by the throat, yanking him in high in the air.

The panel reveals the him speaking Russian, the Russian emblem branded across his chest where 'S' logo was supposed to be, the dark blue costume along with the red Russian cape. It's none other than the Red Son Superman.

I couldn't believe my eyes, this was an absolute fangasm right here, this was the highlight of the issue easily, and the rest of the story was done brilliantly as well. I just can't wait for what they would do with the Red Son Superman.
