    Supermovie for a Superman

There are some movies that were done right the first time they came out. This is one of those movies. Even though some of the story was changed for the movie, it worked for the best. Superman’s best movie is so far this one.

Richard Donner know what the fans wanted and he gave it to them. He used everything that was available at the time to bring Superman to the big Screen. Not only did he do that, but also he made sure to choose Actors, who I feel, did a good job. With all of this, what did he do to give us Superman?

One thing that he did that was different was the First part of the movie. We get to see a Glimpse of what Krypton was like. His version was different from what we already know. Most of the time we got to see an advanced city. Not in this one. The city was made from Crystal. More like what the Fortress of Solitude, which I am happy to say that it is in the movie!

The next biggest thing that was different in the movie is his Father dies. This was some brave to do. We have always seen the Kents together. They were only part of the beginning of the movie. This was one thing I think worked for this movie. It set the stage up for the fans.

Now for the best parts of the movie! The Actors! Each of the Actors that were given a main Character, did a wonderful Job! You know each of them, and could enjoy them. Out of all of them, I liked Perry the most! He was done Perfectly! I have watched him in other Live Actions, but this one WAS Perry. I was happy that each time I saw him, he just screamed his Character out load for us! The other Actors did a good job also.

When it came to Clark, Unless you didn’t know about Superman, you would not have guessed. Each personality was just the way it needed to be. I could see why Lex would not believe they are not the same person.

After all Donner did to give us the best Superman he could make, it still one of the BEST ones out there! I’m happy and please for have the opportunity to watch this Master Piece!

      THE Superman movie! 0

I"ve loved this movie for years.  Never mind the fact that Christopher Reeves was an unknown when he starred in this role but he played both parts well.  Everything from the music of John Williams to the Fortress and Krypton itself worked well.  Seeing General Zod even if only for moments was great as well.    Gene Hackman was smooth and tricky as Lex Luthor, Margot Kidder playing a Lois Lane that would be unrivaled until years later in the TV series Smallville.  Jor-el played by Marlon Brando w...

First major superhero movie revisited 0

I'm back! And to celebrate the release of Man of Steel this Friday (can't believe it's already here, Fall of 2011 doesn't seem long ago), I decided to go back and relive the cinematic history of Superman, starting with Superman in 1978. While this wasn't the first superhero movie, it was the first major superhero movie and paved the way for films like Batman, Spider-Man, Iron Man, and The Avengers. I don't remember much of it, but it's regarded as a classic and one of the greatest superhero ...
