Snyder has made a big point to distance this Superman movie from previous incarnations foregoing things like the iconic Superman theme music. However, I feel like it would be a mistake to leave out Zod telling Superman to kneel at some point in the film. I feel like it would be a serious stand up and cheer moment. What does everything think? Will we get a little fan service from Snyder or will he leave it out in order to distance his film from previous versions.

We HAVE to get a Kneel before Zod moment! Its pretty much Zod's defining moment in the movie and has been seen throughout every medium hes been in since. It would also be crazy awesome hearing Michael Shannon deliver the line since hes an awesome actor.

Michael Shannon said no to this. BUT remember TDKR with Talia? So...yeah...who knows.

And Michael Shannon's Zod got his line in ''I WILL FIND HIM''

I hope so, that way he can show Loki how to PROPERLY get someone to kneel before him.

Why bother its one of the most overblown overused cliches when it comes to the character, if they want this movie to be successful they gotta throw all that chessy garbage away, it may alienate the fans but it'd help to be taken more seriously, and if people actually want the DC to pull off the impossible and make a Justive league movie thats just want they need to do, have people take it seriously.

He doesn't say it, and he doesn't need to.

Maybe he won't say "Kneel before Zod."

He'll probably just say "Kneel" or "Kneel before me". Maybe even "Bow down before me."

Unless Snyder is changing the focus of his character.

@yung_ancient_one: i don't think he'll say it. If he does that'll be awesome but see, the mainstream audience are oblivious and if he says it they'll think its ripped off from avengers. when in reality loki stole that line from Zod.

and I laughed. My friend asked what was so funny and I explained who he was. Now because of that song, I want Zod to say it again in this movie. I'm weird like that.

I hope so. Not necessarily "kneel before Zod" but at least a variant on it.

It would be awesome if he did. Like Star Trek did with their lines, it worked well even for non fans :)

I don't think the actor playing Zod can pull it off with good enough impact. They might have one of his people say it for him and avoid it.

That's a good point, he does have a softer less regal voice than the original Zod.

It would almost be expected to happen, one way or another.

Man, I hope so. If he doesn't say it the movie can still be great, but if he does... then the film goes to a whole other level. That's the difference between "great" and "awesome".

I really hope he does. Zod is one of my favorite villains and it would really suck if he did not say his classic line!

In the original trailer there's a part where Supes is kneeling. Dunno to what though.

Maybe not, but it'll probably set Michael Shannon's Zod apart from Terrence Stamp's Zod. We'll probably get ''KNEEL'' or something like that.

I hope not. It'll take away from the movie itself just to cash in on nostalgia. Michael Shannon will certainly have some meme-worthy line in the movie though, I'm sure of it
