Sent to Earth as an infant from the dying planet Krypton, Kal-El was adopted by the loving Kent family and raised in America's heartland as Clark Kent. Using his immense solar-fueled powers, he became Superman to defend mankind against all manner of threats while championing truth, justice, and the American way!
"In Superman: Earth One, the circumstances surrounding the death of Krypton seem far less tragic – even superficial. It doesn't help that the changes seem designed mostly to create a new villain for the Man of Steel, and as it turns out, that villain ranks as one of the most forgettable and shallow Superman rogues in memory. This guy is so cartoonish, poorly defined and lacking in real pathos, he makes Doomsday look like Magneto."
Yeah, the whole thing just talks pretty much sh*t for the book. See for yourself, http://uk.comics.ign.com/articles/112/1129376p1.html But that doesn't change my mind. On another site some guy mentions on the comments below, the review was brilliant. Either way I'm getting the book next week and hope it turns out to be good.
Its a new character and as far as reviews goes, ainitcoolnews talked favorably about it, the thing is that this is a parallel universe superman and the ign crew critique which up to a point is kinda fair is that this Superman doesn't feel like Superman, which is true but also the point. aintitcoolnews said thats exactly what they loved about it so I don't know
