If he gets his powers from yellow sunlight, shouldn't lasers actually make him MORE powerful? I mean, shouldn't he absorb them?

Why do they hurt him at times? Even at low power, it should actually help him MORE since his cells are screaming for yellow solar energy.

There is literally nothing scientifically valid about Supermans powers. You are just supposed to accept the fact he has powers and that certain things can hurt him and move on. Don't read too much into it.

@eschrammbo: He gets his powers from the specific type of radiation found in yellow sun light, which is why different colored stars have varying affects. The light itself has very little to do with his powers, its mostly the invisible radiation that comes with it.

Lasers hardly hurt superman....which comic are u referring to when askin this question, n it's not the light it's the heat,maybe really high intensity lasers can hurt him not normal ones, so it's not the light that must be hurting him it's the heat.

Its not that every laser hurts him, rather the right amount of lasers

like people say he is invulnerable, well there are characters stronger than he is

Pretty sure that lasers aren't crafted from Yellow Sun radiation at all nor do they use it as a power source. Could be a number of reasons though.
